PORTSMOUTH, NH, September 29, 2006 - Anvil® International, the most complete manufacturer of domestic and globally sourced products for piping systems, announces the promotion of Mr. Harold Arrowsmith to Vice President of Sales - Mechanical Division, and the addition of Mr. John Smayda as the Eastern U.S. Director of Sales - Fire Protection Division. "I've had the pleasure of working with John in the past, and Harold has proven himself with numerous successes at Anvil," said Dean Taylor, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Anvil. "I have complete confidence they will both flourish in their new positions."
Mr. Arrowsmith has worked for Anvil for more than 15 years in a variety of positions, most recently as the Midwest Regional Sales Manager of the Mechanical Division. He will be working closely with Dean Taylor to continue the growth of Anvil's Mechanical Division as well as maintain Anvil's tradition of outstanding customer service. Harold will remain at the University Park, IL location.
Mr. Smayda, located in Mentor, Ohio, has more than 35 years of experience in sales and operations management serving the mechanical, industrial, and fire protection markets. During this time, Mr. Smayda received numerous management awards for individual and unit performance as well as business development. As Eastern U.S. Director of Sales, John brings more than eight years of experience with him to the AnvilStar(TM) team. Smayda can be reached at University Park, IL.
Brian Reef, with over 27 years of PVF experience, will continue as the Western U.S. Director of Sales for AnvilStar. Arrowsmith, Smayda and Reef will all report directly to Dean Taylor.
