Ansell Introduces New Hand Protection Catalog: The Ansell North America Protection Solutions Guide

RED BANK, N.J. (July 6, 2009) -- Ansell Limited, the world's leading manufacturer of personal protective apparel, has introduced the Ansell North America Protection Solutions Guide. This hand protection catalog is a result of intensive global research of Ansell customers' experiences, needs and preferences with regard to the glove and apparel selection process.

"The North America Protection Solutions Guide was designed to simplify the glove selection process by coupling vital information with comparison charts and application images," said Bill Reed, senior vice president, regional director for Ansell. "This extensive information allows our customers to make decisions that further the success of their companies."

Ansell created a printed glove catalog, the company's first in several years, due to specific requests from customers. In keeping with best practices in green printing and sustainability, Ansell used the latest in green publishing technology to print its personal protective equipment (PPE) solutions guide, including the use of recycled paper stock and soy inks. At the end of its use, the guide can be completely recycled.

"The industrial glove market continues to grow and is driven by increased focus on worker safety," said Reed. "We continue to integrate innovation into our glove designs, as well as researching ways to enhance worker comfort, performance, fit and color to ensure worker compliance. Our new solutions guide helps customers navigate through these options."

Based on the feedback from Ansell's customer research, the new hand protection and apparel catalog categorizes over 100 products into three protection categories:

o Mechanical protection (protection against cuts, abrasions, snags punctures and hand fatigue)

o Chemical & liquid protection (protection against hazardous chemicals, liquids and mechanical hazards in both immersion and splash situations)

o Product protection (worker protection for both janitorial/sanitation needs, as well as food processing and service)

Customers can request a printed copy of the PPE catalog or download an electronic version at www.AnsellPro.com. In addition to this solutions guide and product offerings, Ansell also offers the powerful and proprietary Ansell GuardianSM program to corporate and plant representatives looking for productivity improvements, injury prevention and cost reduction solutions. The Ansell Guardian process uses multiple measurement tools to identify significant cost reductions in PPE/safety related expenditures, improve processes and implement best practices.
