TCM " The Lift Truck Professionals" announced this week they have begun the transition of their Parts and Sales Operations to their 44 acre property located in West Columbia, South Carolina. When this project is completed in April, 2010 South Carolina will be the new home of TCM's Multi-Million dollar Distribution Center providing all Parts and Forklift Inventory for the United States.
Formerly only manufacturing was at the South Carolina facility with distribution centers in Texas and New Jersey. Those distribution centers will close. Given the current slow economy and the fact TCM has built up a large inventory of New Equipment, they will temporarily suspend production at this facility starting in April with production restarted once the economy becomes stronger.
This merger of distribution centers and inventories will have a very positive effect for TCM's dealer network located nationwide and their customers thru improved deliveries, communications, and cost savings. TCM has a long history (60+ years) of building a quality product engineered to be operator friendly, safe, and cost effective providing many years of low cost service for even the toughest applications.
