Lombard, IL, March 13, 2008 - Andy Stemler comes to Tornos with over 15 years of experience in the machine tool industry. Stemler holds a marketing degree from Lewis University and was most recently the manager of Hitech Machinery's Used Machinery Division. He also had successful stints at Ellison Machine Tools and Robotics, Advanced Machinery Sales, and Intech EDM.
Stemler met Tornos US president Scott Kowalski while at Hitech, when Kowalski was still with GF AgieCharmilles. Stemler says, "I always had a good relationship with Scott and felt comfortable with his sales style and approach."
That comfort level led to Stemler accepting the position of Midwest Regional Sales Manager at Tornos in early 2008. "Tornos and I are a good fit," Stemler says. "I want to offer the customer a competitive advantage in his market, and in doing so, make the customer, Tornos, and myself as successful as possible."
A native of the South Side of Chicago (and an avid White Sox fan), Stemler now lives on the city's North Side with his wife, Nicole, and two cats. He enjoys most outdoor activities, notably golf and fishing.
As Tornos' Midwest Regional Sales Manager, Andy is responsible for the territory which includes: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Canada.
