Anacomp Integrates Equivio's Near-Duplicate Technology into its CaseLogistix Litigation Support Solution
SAN DIEGO, Calif., and KENSINGTON, Md., Jan. 22 / - Anacomp® Inc., a leading business process solutions company, and Equivio, a provider of software used in the litigation support realm, today announced a joint technology alliance in which Anacomp has integrated Equivio's near-duplicate technology into its CaseLogistix® litigation support solution, allowing users to ensure the consistent treatment of similar documents and significantly reduce document review times and costs.
CaseLogistix is the most powerful and versatile litigation review and integration platform available today, providing a complete solution for electronic document organization, annotation, discovery management and production. With the Equivio integration, CaseLogistix users are able to work with groups of similar documents - even if the documents exist in varying file formats - and, using the Equivio compare feature, immediately access each document's unique, value-added content. As a result, users can virtually eliminate redundancy from the document review process, reducing costs and helping litigators zoom in on the information they need to build a case.

Applied to data in the Enron case, Equivio's email thread technology was able to reduce the overall review effort by 60%. The content-centric approach is robust, eliminating any dependence on the idiosyncrasies of email metadata, while also facilitating thread analysis on OCR collections.
