OAK RIDGE, TN-The ORTEC® business unit of AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technology has released a new dual-port memory to USB converter. The ORTEC model DPM-USB is powered by the USB connection and has an internal circuit within the cable connector to convert the ORTEC Dual Port Memory to USB.
Ben Kennedy, Product Manager for Research Electronics, states, "This converter can be used with new MCA (Multi-Channel Analyzer) systems, or to convert older ORTEC MCA systems to USB for use on more modern computers without having to purchase all new hardware."
The following older MCA's can now be connected via USB, 919, 919E, 920-8, 920-16, 920E, 921, 921E, 926, 92X, DSPec, 92X-II, NOMAD Plus, and Octete-PC.
This converter can be purchased as hardware only, or hardware with drivers for recent versions of Maestro.
