SCHUNK exhibits at imX, Booth 1400

imX, the interactive manufacturing eXperience, is a new event that will be held in Las Vegas from September 12-14. imX is different from traditional trade shows - it is an interactive and educational experience with a focus on knowledge transfer and deep engagements to solve specific manufacturing challenges of today and for the future. SCHUNK offers worldwide leading technology for automated solutions, from the spindle all the way to the robotics. At imX, SCHUNK will present solutions that increase efficiency in manufacturing on a large scale:

VERO-S - The most comprehensive Toolbox With the quick change pallet system VERO-S machine set-up times can be reduced by 90%. VERO-S clamps workpieces, pallets, clamping stations, and tombstones via one or several clamping pins and provides the optimum clamping solution for every machine.

Quick Change Chuck ROTA THW plus The ROTA THWplus quick jaw change chuck stands alone when judged on the measurement of set-up efficiency. In less than 60 seconds a complete jaw set can be changed with a repeatability of less than 0.0005". This eliminates the need to re-bore jaws in many cases.

Powerful Hydraulic Expansion Toolholder TENDO EC With the TENDO E compact, it is no longer required to use different holder technologies for milling, drilling, and reaming. For the first time ever, hydraulic expansion toolholders can safely transfer torques of up to 520 Nm (384 ft-lbs) at a 20 mm clamping diameter and are perfectly suited for high volume cutting. In roughing operations, tool cost reductions of up to 40 % have been achieved with TENDO E compact.

Premium Gripper Range with Multi-Tooth Guidance Spreading the load across many shoulders - that is the principle behind the multi-tooth guidance developed by SCHUNK. The effect: you can use longer gripper fingers with the same gripper size, without overloading the guidance. The added guiding area reduces the surface pressure - and therefore wear - to a minimum. The multi-tooth guidance ensures minimal guidance play throughout the gripper's service life.
