New Packaging Design Center Offers Comprehensive Consultation and 'Match While You Wait' Services

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio, Oct. 24 -- Our world is filled with things that keep us waiting - rush hour traffic, lines at retail stores and doctor's office sitting rooms, just to name a few. Americhem, a global provider of custom color and additive solutions for polymer-based products, is looking to help their packaging clients avoid the waiting game.

Now packaging professionals can schedule a visit to Americhem's new Packaging Design Center. They need only arrive at the Cuyahoga Falls manufacturing facility armed with ideas. Those looking for inspiration can visit the sample room that contains thousands of bottles across the color spectrum. As many as 20 samples can be produced with the desired material, color range and special effects while the client waits, according to Jim Wolfe, Technical Manager of Americhem's Packaging Group.

"As a part of Americhem's commitment to the packaging industry, we've invested in technology that allows us to mimic our clients' production processes. We can quickly create the samples they need to move forward," said Wolfe. "We're excited to offer our new Match While You Wait service, because it eliminates costly steps in the development process so our client's products get to market faster."

Visitors to the Packaging Design Center have access to Americhem's color experts who are well-versed on industry trends and best-sellers. They also can tour the facility and talk performance attributes with the packaging team's research & development scientists. The facility has high-tech analysis equipment, including various light sources for viewing samples and spectrophotometers to take color readings. Not only can visitors get packaging prototype samples, but they also walk away with the right samples for the job.

"Our clients not only rely on our ability to help them with the development process, but also to deliver a quality product consistently," said Chris Miller, Lead Scientist of Americhem's Packaging Research & Development Group. "The experts in our color lab have access to the latest technology, which means we deliver the most innovative custom colors and additive masterbatch solutions available to companies around the globe. We've earned a reputation for quality that enables us to be a trusted problem-solver for our clients."
