Ambrell Sells EKOHEAT for Automotive Ring Gear Hardening

Client needed a solution for rapidly and efficiently hardening the teeth of starter ring gears

Scottsville, NY РAmbrell, a leading manufacturer of induction heating systems, has sold an EKOHEAT 15 kW/100 kHz induction heating system to a supplier of automotive automation solutions. The client will use the EKOHEAT in a system that hardens the teeth of starter ring gears. The starter ring gear transfers torque from the starter motor pinion to the flywheel, which rotates the engine so it begins to cycle.
