Innovance Companies Combine Sales, Administrative, Production Staffs for Efficiency, Benefit to Customers

ALBERT LEA, Minnesota (October 2, 2008) - Two companies whose high-quality product lines address the metal parts deburring, finishing and cleaning equipment requirements of industrial users worldwide have been joined under the same corporate name, ALMCO KleenTec, Inc.

The formerly independent firms carrying those names are owned by Innovance, a holding company based in this southern Minnesota community, where offices and manufacturing facilities of ALMCO and KleenTec are located. Sales, administrative and production activities are being combined for efficiency and economy "without any change in our relationships and dedicated services to customers," according to Larry E. Beavens, newly named vice president, sales/marketing, of the firm.

"Instead, present and past buyers of ALMCO and KleenTec equipment benefit greatly by having access to an expanded range of products, through the same people they've worked with over the years. Our brand names - ALMCO and KleenTec - remain the same," Beavens noted, "under a new corporate title established only for internal considerations."

Established in the early 1940s and acquired by Innovance in 2004, ALMCO is the world's largest manufacturer of custom and standard equipment and systems for automated parts deburring and finishing. Known for its engineering expertise, it has developed in recent years an expansive line of rugged, high-volume washers and dryers, including flat-belt, rotary, U-bend, drum and other designs, as well as ultrasonic and tumble blast machines.

The KleenTec name accompanies "an exceptionally broad selection of smaller cleaning equipment models that serve a much wider market," said Beavens, "with highly innovative, patented features." As a result of the consolidation of the two companies, "both KleenTec and ALMCO product lines are now available," he said, "through the same distributors, region managers and other sales personnel as previously."

Innovance is also the owner of five other companies in the Upper Midwest, the largest of which is Lou-Rich, Inc., a contract engineering and manufacturing services firm with a worldwide customer base. With roots dating back to 1972, its headquarters are also in Albert Lea as part of a complex of companies, including ALMCO KleenTec, at 505-507 West Front Street.
