Alloy Engineering Introduces New General Manager

Alloy Engineering, a leader in the design and manufacture of stainless steel and nickel alloy parts, announces that they have hired a new General Manager. Alloy is pleased to introduce Mr. Donald J. Halferty! Don comes to Alloy with much experience within the fabrication industry. For the last several years, Don worked at a Large tank fabricating company out of Ottumwa, Iowa. As the Chief Operating Officer, Don was responsible for the day to day operations as well as the sales team. His previous experience with lower pressure and temperature ASME code vessel and tank fabrication transitions well to the higher temperature and pressure fabrications that Alloy Engineering produces. Previously, Don has also worked as a General Manager and Plant Manager in the past.

Don Halferty is passionate about engineered products, and he is a results oriented leader with a consistent track record of Cultural Transformation that delivers improved profitability and increased sales. Don believes in developing strong teams within a company and implementing Lean principles and practices that streamline business processes, reduce inventory, and reduce cost, to name a few.

Don will work closely with the management team at Alloy to build even stronger teams and diversify our company sales strategy, allowing us to be more competitive as we grow. He plans to reorganize our short term sales and engineering goals and objectives and work to boost how we rate with our customers.

“This is the strongest team we’ve had in our history. Everyone is highly skilled, and dedicated to the same core principles this company was founded on—Viewing everything as an opportunity for improvement and to make the best possible parts for the best possible price.” Lou Petonovich, CEO
