Press release date: May 8, 2012

New Prosilica GT model with CMOSIS sensor, expanded Manta range and new Bigeye camera model with active cooling.

From May 8-10, 2012 Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) will be exhibiting at the AIA Vision Show in Boston, Massachusetts, North America's leading machine vision show where AVT will be premiering a number of new cameras at booth #323.

Prosilica GT: New CMOSIS and High Resolution Models
The Prosilica GT cameras by Allied Vision Technologies are Gigabit Ethernet cameras designed to perform in extreme environments. Able to work in temperatures from -20°C to 60°C and varying light conditions, the Prosilica GT cameras feature auto-iris (P-iris and DC), PoE (Power over Ethernet) and PTP IEEE1588, a function that manages clock synchronization of multiple devices across an Ethernet network. The Prosilica GT cameras are well-suited for a wide variety of demanding machine vision, industrial and outdoor imaging applications.

Three new cameras from the Prosilica GT family will make their debut at THE Vision Show: The 2 Megapixel Prosilica GT2000 with the fast and highly sensitive CMOSIS CMV-2000 sensor, the 8 Megapixel Prosilica GT3000 featuring the quad-tap Kodak-KAI-08050 progressive scan CCD sensor and the 29 Megapixel Prosilica GT6600 with the 35mm format Kodak KAI-29050 sensor.

Manta: New EXview HAD II CCD Models
The Manta family of feature-rich GigE Vision cameras welcomes three new cameras, Manta G-282, G-283 and G-609, featuring second generation Sony EXview HAD CCD dual-tap sensors that combine high resolution and fast frame rates, which provide excellent sensitivity and image quality. The 5 Megapixel dual-tap Manta G-505 will also make its debut at THE Vision Show.

The Manta cameras offer an outstanding price/performance ratio as well as many modular options such as PoE (Power over Ethernet), angled head variant, and/or sensor variants, and a robust housing to fit into any applications.

Bigeye: Long Exposure with Peltier Cooling
The new Bigeye G-283B is a low-noise CCD monochrome camera that offers excellent image quality thanks to its 2.8 Megapixel Sony ICX674 EXview HAD CCD II sensor. It features a Peltier cooling device for a superior signal-to-noise ratio even with long exposure times. The Bigeye is ideal for industrial and scientific imaging applications and non-destructive evaluation of photo-sensitive objects.
