Allen Engineering to Acquire the Miller Power Buggy Line

Jay Allen, President of Allen Engineering Corporation (AEC), announced today that AEC has entered into an agreement to acquire the Miller Power Buggy Line from The Miller Spreader Company, located in Youngstown, OH. Other Miller products, including its line of curb extruders and aluminum hand tools, will continue to be manufactured in Youngstown. This acquisition is expected to be finalized before the end of 2010. "This acquisition of the Miller Power Buggy Line is an excellent opportunity for AEC to apply our design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities to an already outstanding line of material handling equipment. The whole team at Allen Engineering looks forward to working with Miller Buggy's employees, dealers & rental centers, end-user customers, and suppliers to further grow and expand this excellent line of equipment," commented Allen.

Upon the completion of the acquisition, AEC will begin manufacturing both the walk behind and ride-on Miller Power Buggies in their factory located in Paragould, Arkansas. The Miller Power Buggy brand will join the Allen Concrete Equipment and Allen Concrete Pavers brands which are currently designed, engineered, and manufactured by AEC in Arkansas.

AEC will display the full line of Miller Power Buggies at both World of Concrete (Booth #O30629), to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in January '11, and The Rental Show (Booth #4276), to be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in February '11.
