Worcester, MA, December 15, 2006 - Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL), a recognized leader in the registration of automotive quality management systems, has certified that Allegro MicroSystems, Inc. effectively implemented a quality management system in compliance with the specifications and requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2002. The scope of Allegro's system includes: design, wafer fabrication, manufacture, and testing of integrated circuits, sensors, and sensor sub-assemblies made primarily in Allegro's facilities in Worcester, Massachusetts; Manchester, New Hampshire; and Manila, Philippines.

ISO/TS 16949 is an international quality management system standard supported by the automotive industry. The goal of this standard is the development of a system, coupled with customer-specific requirements, to support continual improvement of an organization's overall performance and efficiency through defect prevention and reduction of waste in the supply chain. The standard combines North American and European automotive requirements to serve the global automotive market.
