Fort Mill, S.C. - Alemite announced today it has earned ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification. This certification ensures customers that Alemite adheres to rigorous quality standards required by automotive OEMs.
Unlike QS-9000, a North American automotive standard, ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification is a worldwide automotive specification. TS certification indicates that Alemite has a set of business processes that are managed on an ongoing basis that help them achieve customer satisfaction.
"TS is strongly based on meeting customer requirements," said Allen Hobbs, Quality Assurance Manager for Alemite. "It is also designed so that Alemite's quality management system is no longer seen as a cost of doing business but as a system that facilitates the accomplishment of profitability and marketing goals.
"We are very excited to have achieved ISO/TS16949 certification. Very few companies achieve certification on their first try," Hobbs said.
