Torrance, CA... Alcoa Fastening Systems (AFS) announces the promotion of Craig Brown to the position of Vice President, Global Aerospace Customers and Marketing. Mr. Brown has been with the company in various roles of increasing responsibility since 1983, and in his new role is responsible for worldwide customer relationships, sales and marketing, customer service, and technical support for the aerospace fastening systems business.

"The selection of Craig complements key strategic thrusts of the company as we further capitalize on our market leading position in developing preferred fastening system solutions to new aircraft and engine requirements, and as we work to better link customer business strategies with our global investments in growth and productivity", said Olivier Jarrault, president of Alcoa Fastening Systems. Mr. Brown succeeds Rick Sharpe who is leaving AFS to pursue a new business opportunity.

Brown has an M.B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles, as well as an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fullerton and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Chico. He is a Registered Mechanical Engineer, and serves as Director for both the California Manufacturers and Technology Association and the American Locknut Manufacturers Association. He has been an active member of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce for over ten years. He resides in Fullerton, California with his wife and three sons.
