Press release date: November 10, 2010

ISO13485 certified producer of ceramic-to-metal assemblies

Morgan Technical Ceramics, Alberox (MTC Alberox), an ISO13485 certified leader in the manufacture of ceramic-to-metal assemblies, has expanded its production cleanroom for implantable feedthroughs. The clean room environment provides an additional level of reliability and assures feedthroughs will not be exposed to contamination which could be detrimental to their performance.

MTC Alberox manufactures a variety of implantable feedthroughs for medical implant applications, including cardiac rhythm management, neuromodulation, and cochlear and middle ear hearing devices. Designed to provide superior reliability and durability, these feedthroughs are custom-designed and feature advanced ceramic-to-metal seal assembly technology.

"It is critical to produce these medical implant components in as pristine an environment as possible," said John Antalek, Medical Products Business Unit Manager. "MTC Alberox is proud to manufacture our custom feedthroughs in a 5,500-square-foot cleanroom space that significantly lowers the possibility of contamination and allows our engineers and technical staff to focus their energies on superior product design."

A leading manufacturer of ceramic-to-metal seals, MTC Alberox specializes in solving difficult application problems, usually involving extremes of temperature, pressure, operating environment or complicated geometries. The company services the medical, electronics, aerospace and power generation markets.
