Albemarle Adds Focus on Alternative Fuel Technologies


BATON ROUGE, La., Dec. 20 -- Leading global catalyst and specialty chemical maker Albemarle Corporation (NYSE:ALB) has created a new division focusing on Alternative Fuel Technologies. Ray Hurley, who previously served as vice president-catalysts, was named vice president- alternative fuel technologies and will lead the new division.

Hurley's strong leadership in catalysts serves as a base for him to develop leading market positions for Albemarle's catalysts in Canadian oil sands, coal-to-liquids, gas-to-liquids and biomass-to-fuel technologies. In addition, he will focus on alliance opportunities in alternative fuels.
