(Cedar Falls, Iowa) Alan Burgess was recently appointed Technical Manager for Environmental Lubricants Manufacturing (ELM) which has corporate headquarters in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Mr. Burgess has been with ELM since its inception in 2000 and until recently has been serving as production manager. In his new position, in addition to overseeing production and quality assurance, Burgess will be responsible for guiding product development and improvement activities. With extensive experience in product development and manufacturing, Burgess will be able to help ELM continue its leadership position in the bio-based lubricants area. Environmental Lubricants Manufacturing was listed at number 470 on Inc. Magazine's current list of the 500 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. The company was formed in 2000 to commercialize more than 40 bio-based lubricants and greases that had been created at the University of Northern Iowa's National Ag-Based Lubricants (NABL) Center.
