20 May 2009, Elverson, PA. AkzoNobel and Whitford Corporation are pleased to announce that Whitford's purchase of the AkzoNobel Non Stick Coatings Division has been completed.
All ANNS assets now belong to Whitford.
Nevertheless, there will be a period of transition, during which the companies have agreed to do everything possible to make the handover of information, inventory and equipment as smooth and problem-free for customers in all countries affected. Both companies shall continue cooperating until the transition is fully completed, which in some cases will mean ongoing manufacture of some Akzo products in Akzo facilities for a brief period.
AkzoNobel and Whitford both expressed their appreciation for the professional manner in which the matter has been managed.
