RADNOR, PA - March 3, 2008 - Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG), the largest U.S. distributor of specialty gases and equipment, will highlight its "Engineering the Right Solutions" approach at the 2008 Pittsburgh Conference (PITTCON) being held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA from March 3-6.
The new customer-focused initiative concentrates on engineering customized solutions to the needs of analytical and life sciences laboratories, leveraging Airgas' broad range of solutions in specialty gases, high-purity gases, precision blends, liquid nitrogen, bulk gases and safety equipment.
To provide customers a hands-on opportunity to experience the "Right Solutions" program, the Airgas booth at PITTCON (#2755) will feature an analytical laboratory on one half of the display and a life science laboratory on the other.
"At Airgas, engineering the right solution for a customer is not simply about delivering molecules, products, and equipment," said Jim Muller, senior vice president for specialty gases and life science. "Finding the right solution means working one-on-one with our customer, leveraging our expertise and experience in specialty gases and life sciences, and constructing a program designed to solve the complex problems the customer may face."
According to Muller, Airgas has practiced this service philosophy for years, but formally introduced the theme to illustrate the range of engineering solutions it can now offer to its customers. Customers can now take advantage of teams that specialize in the design and installation of custom engineered laboratory gas management equipment and cryogenic storage repositories.
"Airgas has gathered together an incredible team of professionals, which we can bring to customers throughout our national infrastructure," said Muller. "We are looking forward to displaying these capabilities at PITTCON."
