Company Also Launches New Mobile App for Pipeline "Pigging" Calculations

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. - Air Products (NYSE: APD) will highlight the company's fast and flexible industrial nitrogen services for short-term or emergency industrial gas supply needs at the Pipeline Pigging & Integrity Management (PPIM) Conference in Houston, Texas, from February 12-14. Air Products Express Services (APEX) provides customers with a cost-effective, rapid response to their short-term nitrogen needs for a range of pipeline applications, including product displacement, pig pushing, pressure testing, maintenance purging, line drying, and inerting.

PPIM attendees can stop by Air Products Booth #510 to learn how APEX nitrogen services can save them time and money during start-ups, peak demand periods, planned or unplanned maintenance activities, and plant and pipeline turnarounds. APEX has many innovative supply options and can tailor a supply chain solution to meet a customer's specific project requirements using state-of-the-art mobile pumping units, storage options, and vaporization and compression systems. With a dedicated APEX hotline that is staffed around-the-clock and a nationwide fleet of mobile pumping units, Air Products can respond quickly to a customer's unexpected nitrogen requirements. APEX services can deliver nitrogen in a wide range of flow rates, temperatures, and pressures, and is a safe and economical option for emergency, spot, or supplemental nitrogen supply.

In conjunction with the PPIM show, Air Products has launched its latest mobile app designed to calculate the nitrogen volume and time needed to purge or to "pig" a pipeline based on given operating parameters. The new Pipe Pigout app is now available for free download for use on Apple or Android devices. To use this unique app, customers enter specific information--such as type of fluid in the pipeline, pipeline distance, basic elevations, desired pig speed, and back pressure--to calculate the volume, flow rate, and pressure suitable to push their pig and complete a purge or displacement. Calculations can be saved on the user's mobile device or instantly emailed to Air Products' APEX Services team for assessment and response. The Air Products Pipe Pigout app can be downloaded from the company's Mobile Apps page at www.airproducts.com/mobileapps.

Air Products is a global leader in nitrogen production, with strategically located production facilities around the country and the largest private industrial gas tanker fleet in the United States.
