Agilent Technologies, Inc.
5301 Stevens Creek Blvd.
Santa Clara, CA, 95051

Press release date: November 1, 2012

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced it will display its newest test innovations ranging from handheld analyzers to high-end X-Series instruments, including new 90000X and Q oscilloscopes, PXA spectrum analyzers and PNA-X network analyzers at Electronica 2012 (Hall A1, Booth 506), in Munich, Nov. 13-16.

"In 2011 Agilent redefined oscilloscopes with the InfiniiVision 2000 and 3000 X-Series, and on Nov. 13, 2012, we will do it again," said Peter Kasenbacher, market segment manager for Agilent's Electronic Measurement Group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. "If you want more time to design your devices and more confidence in your designs, then you'll want to experience the never-before-seen features in Agilent's newest oscilloscopes, at Electronica."

Agilent will also demonstrate:

How to carry precision into the field using Agilent's FieldFox handheld microwave analyzers. Fourteen new models deliver benchtop accuracy and MIL-spec durability for on-the-go applications such as full two-port S-parameters, return loss, VSWR and spectrum-interference monitoring at 26.5GHz. The compact 3.0 kg, FieldFox can be configured for cable-and-antenna analysis, spectrum analysis, vector network analysis, or all-in-one capability with frequency coverage from 4, 6.5, 9, 14, 18 or 26.5 GHz. The N934xC family of handheld spectrum analyzers includes new capabilities that enhance versatility for in-field applications such as instrument remote control and peak power measurement of pulsed signals.

How to make linear and nonlinear measurements from RF to millimeter wave with a single instrument using Agilent's PNA-X vector network analyzer. The PNA-X offers the widest range of measurement applications and includes S-parameters, noise figure, intermodulation distortion and more. Learn how to deliver fast, accurate, nonlinear behavioral models with Agilent's 67-GHz nonlinear vector network analyzer and X-Parameters* generated from the NVNA or Agilent's Advanced Design System.

How to achieve best-in-class network RF performance over a wide frequency range, using the multiport measurement capability of Agilent's new ENA 20-GHz network analyzers. These analyzers are ideal for designers and manufacturers of passive components used in consumer-based wireless communications applications.

How to automate and simplify design, verification, stress testing, and realistic user-experience scenarios, including battery current-drain analysis, using the industry-leading signaling and data capabilities of Agilent's E5515E 8960 Series 10 wireless communications test set. It delivers a solution for real-world functional testing of mobile devices.

How to enable true performance with X-Series signal generators and analyzers. The X-Series signal generators on display will include the pure, precise MXG and the cost-effective EXG. Visitors will see how to simplify signal creation with Signal Studio software, covering technologies such as GPS, LTE-Advanced, MSR, 802.11ac WLAN, and GNSS, and more. They will also be able to experience the N9030A PXA and the N9010A EXA signal analyzers, along with smart mixers to extend operating frequencies up to 110 GHz for millimeter-wave applications.

How to gain easier access to full 3-D electromagnetic modeling capabilities using EMPro 2012. The latest release now includes a new level of integration with Advanced Design System 2012 software, along with several simulator enhancements to improve performance and accelerate product development. Its direct integration streamlines the design process.

How to take full advantage of the world's fastest PXI vector signal generator, the Agilent M9381A. This 6-GHz instrument enhances testing and validation with switching as fast as 10 žs with excellent RF parametric performance: high output power, superior level accuracy and 160-MHz modulation bandwidth.

How to harness the power of Agilent AXIe instruments, which offer cutting-edge solutions in a flexible and compact form factor. Agilent will demonstrate AXIe stimulus and response modules, the M9703A 12-bit high-speed digitizer and the M8190A 12/14-bit wide-bandwidth arbitrary waveform generator.

Agilent will showcase other general-purpose instrumentation at two dedicated "Measurement Walls," including the B1505A power device analyzer/curve tracer, which significantly increases its voltage and current range to cover all devices in today's fast-growing power-device market; the revolutionary one-channel B2961A and the two-channel B2962A power supplies for precision low-noise voltage/current sourcing; the 33500B Series waveform generators with Trueform signal-generation technology; and the new U1273AX OLED handheld digital multimeter.
