(LATROBE, PA) - Completely revised to provide more useful and focused information, the new Aggressor® bandsaw blades catalog from Kennametal combines complete product descriptions on the entire line of blade products with a thoroughly reworked technical section to improve the product-selection process for bandsaw blade users.

Designed specifically for industrial bandsaw blade users in steelworking, woodworking, die and mold, and metal fabrication, the new catalog provides guidance for novice and veteran product selectors alike. "Nearly everything in fabrication begins when something gets cut," explains Phil Cowan, Kennametal's sales and marketing manager for industrial saw products, "yet trying to figure out how to apply a blade correctly and consistently can be very difficult. This new catalog really helps people understand how to improve sawing productivity and product life. What really ends up getting cut is cutting time."

The catalog covers Aggressor bi-metal and carbon bandsaw blades and RemGrit® continuous and gulleted grit-edged blades. Each page contains order numbers, technical support information, and usage recommendations. For example, the RemGrit grit-edged bandsaw blades feature a tungsten-carbide grit bonded to an alloy steel band, recommended for sawing hard materials that may chip or fracture easily such as superalloys or graphite composites. The carbide particle placement enables the blade to be run in either direction. In fact, a technical tip advises users to reverse cutting direction when the blade appears to be slowing to extend blade life up to 25%.

The updated technical section includes checklists for users to determine their own blade recommendations, such as the types of bandsaw equipment they run, materials they cut, and their dimensions.

More information on Aggressor bandsaw blade products is available from Kennametal's Technical Services Group at (888) 303-0344 or by visiting kennametal.com/aggressor.
