Wichita, KS- April 16, 2007-Aeroflex today announced its agreement with Survey Technologies, Inc. (STI) to distribute Field Test 6 site survey software for use with the Aeroflex 2975 Radio Test Set. The 2975 coupled with the Field Test 6 software allows the additional capability to perform Site Surveys of signal strength and Analog SINAD or Digital P25 BER measurements. This easy to use software can produce color contour maps of signal coverage. The P25 BER measurement capability requires the use of 2975opt17 - RX BER meter which can be interfaced to a P25 radio that supports raw data output through its side connector. The software can be configured to monitor multiple channels or frequencies of interest to verify system performance. Additionally, the software supports the ability to do in-building surveys where a bit map image of a floor plan may be used for indoor location reference.
Field Test 6 comes complete with a USB GPS receiver, Tile Analysis and Indoor Measurement packages as well as a software driver exclusively for the Aeroflex 2975 Radio Test Set. The addition of this valuable tool further expands the diverse capabilities of the Aeroflex 2975 and is a welcome addition to provide a total solution for existing and future customers.
