Poway, Ca - Advanced Machining & Tooling, Inc. (AMT) www.amtmfg.com ,a California Corporation, has received Type I supplier approval to produce "Critical Safety Items" to support the GA-ES Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS). Subsequent to the highest level supplier approval, two major contracts have been received for precision parts that will be assembled into the electromagnetic catapult launch system. CVN 78 will be the first aircraft carrier of the newest Gerald R Ford class to have this latest technology installed. AMT will be providing over 40,000 critical parts in support of the EMALS construction. AMT CEO Terry Deane stated "All of us at AMT are proud to produce safety critical precision components for this outstanding project. Receiving Type I supplier status was very satisfying and receiving two major contract to supply complex parts for three years is even more exciting!"

AMT www.amtmfg.com is a high tech CNC machining company that utilizes state of the art automation equipment to produce complicated precision parts for the Aerospace, Medical, Space, Electronics and Turbine industries. Calibrated precision machines include: 3,4 & 5 Axis CNC Milling, 6 Axis Mill/Turn, 5 Axis CNC Wire EDM, 5 Axis Waterjet, 5 Axis CNC Ram EDM and automated CNC Turning equipment. Precision components are fabricated to exacting tolerances from exotic materials including: titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, niobium, Nickel 200, aluminum, brass copper and steel. Key AMT customers include: Northrop Grumman, General Atomics, Solar Turbines, ATK Space Systems and Hamilton Sundstrand.
