Waukegan, IL - PI Bearing Technologies commissions new automated cell for the production of Aluminum Bearing Blocks.
Hydraulic gear pumps and motors utilize pressure balanced bearing blocks that contain a pair of steel-backed fluid power polymer bearings. These aluminum bearing blocks are produced from a bearing quality alloy that has low friction, high strength, and anti-galling properties making it ideal for gear pump applications. In addition, aluminum bearing blocks are uniquely machined and held to tight specifications with narrow tolerance ranges.
PI Bearing Technologies has expanded its production capabilities by introducing a new machining cell with full robotic automation using the latest CNC technologies, vision system automation, and in-line CMM quality inspection techniques.
