GLEN ROCK, Pa. (February 15, 2008) - Adhesives Research, Inc., a leading global developer and manufacturer of high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesives, tapes, specialty coatings, films, and laminates, is pleased to announce the promotion of Kim Weigle to Vice President of Manufacturing.
As Vice President of Manufacturing, Weigle is responsible for the manufacturing operations for the Medical, Pharmaceutical, Electronics, Engineered Tapes and Splicing divisions of Adhesives Research. Weigle has four direct reports covering the following functional areas: manufacturing operations (including warehouse, polymerization, release coating, adhesives coating, slitting, packing and shipping), manufacturing scheduling, inventory planning and process engineering. She continues to report directly to President Geoff Bennett.
Weigle has been with Adhesives Research since 1978, starting as a QC Technician and last serving as Director of Manufacturing Operations. She has a bachelor's degree in production operations management from York College (York, Pa.), as well as a certificate in Production Management from The Pennsylvania State University (York, Pa., campus). Weigle has been a member of the American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) since 1995 and is a past member and secretary of the Harrisburg section of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
Adhesives Research's pressure-sensitive adhesives are used around the world in medical diagnostics and devices, wound care, and pharmaceuticals/transdermals, as well as in electronics, displays, wireless telecommunications, window fabrication and the pulp and paper industry.
