Adhesive Packaging Specialties, Inc. (APS) of Peabody, MA and Cartridge Application Technologies, (CAT) of Mentor, OH, a newly formed division of V.O. Baker Company have signed a three year agreement. The venture between the two companies was formed as a result of increasing industry demand for the Dual Cartridge. This system provides the most advanced delivery of two-component reactive materials. The Dual Cartridge System is recognized today as the most accurate and precise method of on-demand mixing and dispensing of volumetric mix ratios.
According to Stephen Buchanan, President of APS "Over the years, we have seen the increase in demand for this unique system. Our agreement with Cartridge Application Technologies will allow us to supply our packaging expertise, provide production support and quality initiatives to enhance the filling technologies of the Dual Cartridge System."
With CAT's sales force, APS will be able to service major industrial accounts for the Dual Cartridge and CAT will utilize APS for continuing manufacturing support. A cooperative committee has been set up to explore the possibility of a joint manufacturing facility in the western U.S. to support customer logistics.
Added Jason Baker, Vice President of CAT "By joining our two operations in this agreement, we will be able to provide industries with the most efficient delivery system for two-part materials and with our world-wide sales operation, we will be able to provide superior service."
Adhesive Packaging Specialties has been providing custom packaging services for single and multi-component resin materials for more than three decades. Customers include both formulators and end users in a wide range of industries.
For the past 44 years, V. O. Baker Company, Cartridge Application Technologies' parent company, has been recognized as a leading international supplier of adhesives and sealants and custom packaging solutions.
