Performance of Cobra s600 Key to Chad Industries' Patented IQ Odd-Form Assembly Machine

LIVERMORE, Calif.--Nov. 1, 2007--Adept Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADEP), the leading provider of intelligent vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, announced that they have been selected as the robotics supplier by Chad Industries, a supplier of automat Circuit Board, Solar, and Wafer Handling, equipment, for their CHADIQ(TM) Odd Form Assembly Systems.

The Adept Cobra(TM) s600 SCARA robot and SmartController(TM) CX are at the heart of the CHADIQ Odd Form circuit board assembly system. The design and performance of the Adept Cobra robot enable the CHADIQ to deliver lower cost per placement than previous generation odd-form assembly equipment.
