Adept Technology Launches New Robotics Packaging Channel


Channel focused on rapid deployment of high speed packaging systems

LIVERMORE, Calif.--Oct. 4, 2007--Adept Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADEP), the leading provider of intelligent vision-guided robotics and global robotics services, today announced the launch of their Preferred Packaging Partner (PPP) program. The program is designed to provide customers with access to an experienced channel for the company's major high-speed robotics initiative in the North American packaging market.

The Preferred Packaging Partner program, which began with an initial set of five well-established providers of packaging systems will develop solutions around Adept's complete packaging product portfolio including the Adept Quattro(TM), the world's fastest packaging robot. In addition, the Preferred Packaging Partner companies will be actively working with Adept to advance the capabilities and cost effectiveness of robotic packaging solutions in the food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and consumer goods markets.
