New Tersen® Ratio(TM) PG, Lithonia Lighting® VAP(TM) and Lithonia Lighting® ALX(TM) luminaires improve visibility, enhance protection and promote commerce.
ATLANTA - Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE: AYI; "Company"), a market leader in innovative energy-efficient lighting and control solutions, is expanding its LED Outdoor PARK portfolio with the introduction of three new LED luminaries - the Tersen ® Ratio(TM) PG, Lithonia Lighting® VAP(TM) and the Lithonia Lighting® ALX(TM). All three products provide uniform light and maximize visibility for drivers and pedestrians in open and enclosed parking facilities.
Tersen Ratio PG is a contemporary, architectural-styled LED luminaire for parking garages. Designed to meet IESNA RP-20 standards, it delivers up to 100 lumens per watt in multiple lumen output packages. Its modern "finned" housing serves as an efficient heat sink, achieving 25 percent energy savings compared to competitive LED solutions. Both symmetric and asymmetric optical distributions deliver unparalleled horizontal and vertical uniformity. Ratio PG features optional dedicated up-light to eliminate cavernous effect, provides coordinated day-form styling, offers three phases of protection against poor power and lighting strikes. Its Surface & Pendant mount will retro fit into an existing J-box for installation in under eight minutes.
Lithonia Lighting VAP is an energy-efficient LED luminaire for parking garages, canopies, transportation facilities, schools, hospitals and exterior retail environments where moisture or dust is a concern. Its polycarbonate enclosure protects the fixture but is easy to service and clean.
Lithonia Lighting ALX has been enhanced and uses high-efficiency LED technology that produces between 18 percent and 25 percent greater light output than the original version. Designed for parking lots and surrounding areas, it provides a uniformly illuminated environment minimizing shadows, dark spots and harsh pools of light. ALX reduces energy consumption up to 50 percent compared to today's HID solutions without compromising minimal footcandles on the target. It is designed to achieve 50,000 hours of performance, eliminating the need for lamp replacement.
Many Acuity Brands LED Outdoor luminaires are designed to be compatible with the Acuity Brands ROAM® system. ROAM is the company's industry-leading intelligent control solution - combining photo-control technology with wireless monitoring and control capabilities - to further enhance energy efficiency. Designed to meet IES standards for all applications, Acuity Brands LED Outdoor PARK products provide maximum visibility to enhance safety for both open and closed parking facilities and adjacent areas, and minimize light pollution with highly controlled fixtures that aim lighting on task, not toward the sky or ceiling.

Ratio PG, VAP and ALX luminaires will be available in May. All of the new Acuity Brands LED Outdoor luminaires will be on display at the LightFair International Tradeshow, booth #1801, May 17-19, 2001 in Philadelphia.
