Acquisition Combines Two Well-Respected Names in the Cutting Tool Industry
(Bedford, IN - Oct. 27, 2010) Whitney Tool Company of Bedford, Indiana announces the acquisition of Cogsdill Enterprises of Walled Lake, Michigan. Both companies enjoy long-term reputations for excellent quality and customer service. The announcement comes as Whitney Tool celebrates its 40th year as a manufacturer of high quality industrial cutting tools.
Cogsdill Enterprises has designed and manufactured the Burr-Zit and Handy Burr products since 1960. With the acquisition, Whitney Tool has already begun to produce the Burr-Zit tools in its Bedford plant in south-central Indiana.
Burr-Zit tools are used in industry to provide a fast, reliable method of deburring both sides of drilled holes in metal.
Burr-Zit tools are sold through the Whitney Tool network of distributors and manufacturer's representatives for use in North America, Europe and Asia.
