Press release date: October 2, 2006

PORT HURON, Mich., Oct. 2, 2006 - Acheson (www.achesonindustries.com) has introduced its newest reciprocator, the Dag® 1000 BL, for die casting machines ranging from 300 to 1,000-ton capacities.

The Dag 1000BL is a dual-axis, servo-controlled reciprocator with positioning accuracy of ±.5mm in continuous operation. The Acheson controller provides programming by picture with no programming language necessary. With teach in/off line programming, the unit is capable of storing 100 programs, each with 99 steps, with all programs stored on an exchangeable EEPROM.

The rigid and robust design of the Dag1000BL includes a fan-controlled air conditioning unit for use in ambient air temperatures up to 104°F. Four individually programmable I/O's are standard.

The segmented and expandable spray manifold, featuring the Deltacast(TM) nozzle, has four independent spray/blow circuits with two additional independent air-blow circuits. Two different lubricants or dilution ratios can be used with the system.

For larger die casting machines, Acheson offers its Future Concept Technology (FCT) reciprocator and RoboSpray system.
