Accuracy of a Data Logger - Convenience of a Flash Drive

CHESTERLAND, OH--May 16, 2011 - CAS DataLoggers and Lascar Electronics have partnered to announce the release of the new EL-USB-1-LCD Temperature Data Logger with LCD. This standalone data logger measures and stores up to 16,378 temperature readings over a -35 to +80°C (-31 to +176°F) measurement range. The user can easily set up the logging rate and start-time and then download the stored data by plugging the logger into a PC's USB port and running the purpose-designed software.

Data can then easily be logged, graphed, printed and exported to other applications. The data logger's high contrast LCD shows a variety of temperature information with its two-and-a-half-digit temperature display function. At the touch of a button, the user can cycle between the current, maximum and minimum stored temperatures. The logger features an internal resolution of 0.1 (0.2) and accuracy of ±0.5 (+1) and ±1.5 (+3). The data logger is supplied complete with a replaceable long life internal lithium battery, which can typically power logging for up to 1 year. The device is well protected against dust and moisture to IP67 standard when the protective cap is fitted.

Additionally, Lascar's EasyLog USB control software is supplied free of charge with each data logger. Easy to install and use, the control software runs under Windows 2000, XP, Vista as well as Windows 7. The latest version of the free control software may be downloaded from CAS DataLoggers website.

The EasyLog software allows the user to configure several parameters which include but are not limited to the logger name, Celsius or Fahrenheit, setting a logging rate ranging from every 10 seconds to 12 hrs and user-programmable high/low alarm thresholds. Other parameters include: setting immediate / delayed / push-to-start logging, setting display off or on for 30 seconds after button press or permanently on and also data rollover allowing unlimited logging periods by overwriting the oldest data when the memory is full. The logger clearly gives its status indication at all times via bright red, green and orange LEDs.

With its handy USB interface for easy setup and data download, the USB-1 Temperature Data Logger with LCD has everything required for baseline temperature monitoring applications at a low price combined with low maintenance cost.
