Outlook for Chemical Security - Are You Prepared?



(DENVER, CO) - On Wednesday, July 29, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) will host the Outlook for Chemical Security - Are You Prepared? webcast. Congress is currently debating federal legislation that would extend chemical security requirements to water and wastewater utilities. Utilities should begin preparing now for regulations that will stem from this legislation.

The AWWA webcast will provide the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) observations of lessons learned from the implementation of its current program, and drinking water experts will speak to the concurrent challenge of maintaining Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) compliance.
