May 4, 2010 - Throughout Drinking Water Week 2010, AWWA will highlight what "Only Tap Water Delivers," drawing special attention to drinking water quality, water safety and conservation, and importance of water infrastructure. To commemorate occasion, water utilities, environmental advocates, and others will celebrate through school events, public presentations, and community festivals. They will also provide communities with tips for protecting water supplies and conserving resources.

Water community focuses on what only tap water delivers (DENVER) - The American Water Works Association (AWWA), the authoritative resource on safe water, today kicked off Drinking Water Week 2010, an annual celebration of our most precious natural resource. "Drinking Water Week is an opportunity for North Americans to think about what water means to each of us," said AWWA President Craig Woolard. "A safe, reliable water supply is critical to the success of any community.
