FRANKFORT, KY October 11, 2005 - AWP Industries, Inc. is making a major expansion of their Frankfort, KY 48-hour 'Quick Ship' program to include up to 250 units of their standard sized wire mesh containers.
Previously, wire containers were available in quantities up to 100 units within 48 hours. "It all started with customer requests," states Steve Marcozzi, Sales Manager, "Our customers ask for fast response, plus high availability and we are simply responding to that request."
Quick delivery isn't the only perk of AWP's new stocking program. Container prices have dropped by an average of 25 percent, a tremendous savings. "By stocking more product, we are able to lower our cost to the customer, which is critically important in today's competitive Material Handling industry." Says Kara Oberlander, AWP Controller.
Three sizes of wire mesh containers are now available for dealer order requirements. All are finished with clear zinc dichromate and are made of a 2 x 2 mesh pattern with 2-gauge wire for 4,000 lbs capacity and equipped with a standard half-drop gate. Additional options are available.
