MLCCs for high performance in high frequency circuits....

MYRTLE BEACH S.C. (August 28, 2006) - AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of advanced passive components, has expanded its RF capacitor product offering with a high performance capacitor that provides the lowest ESR available in a 0805 package size. Designated the SQCF, the capacitor is ideal for use in RF amplifier applications as well as base stations, wireless infrastructures and point-to-point, multipoint radio applications.

"The SQ Series offers engineers high reliability and very low ESR." said Carl Postiglione, AVX Technical Marketing Manager RF "The capacitors feature this low ESR, very high series resonance, and superior stability under the stresses of changing voltage, frequency, and temperature. All those benefits are available in an EIA 0805 case size, which is RoHS compliant due to 100% Tin terminations. Tin/Lead terminations are also available."

The SQ Series is also available in 0603, 0605, and 1210 case sizes. The SQCF capacitors are available with operating voltages up to 250VDC and capacitance of 240pF. Pricing of the SQCS Series typically starts at $.092 for 10,000 pieces. Smaller 500 piece reels are available for prototypes with a lead time of 6-8 weeks.
