ATX Group and TeleCommunication Systems Partner to Provide Hyundai the Latest in Connected Navigation

Dynamic Turn-By-Turn Navigation Featured in New Hyundai Blue Link® Telematics Program

LAS VEGAS -- ATX Group (ATX), a leading provider of customized connected vehicle (or telematics) services to global automobile manufacturers, and TeleCommunication Systems, Inc. (TCS) (Nasdaq: TSYS), a world leader in highly reliable and secure mobile communication technology, today announced a partnership to provide turnkey network solutions to Hyundai Motor America's new Blue Link® telematics program utilizing turn-by-turn navigation from TCS.

TCS' advanced navigation platform and integration services team worked closely with ATX and Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) to deliver a technically advanced navigation solution for Hyundai consumers. Innovative features include hybrid navigation, which allows off-route vehicles to be automatically re-routed, even if the vehicle is out of network coverage. TCS and ATX also worked closely with Hyundai suppliers to ensure a solution tightly integrated with in-vehicle hardware and software as well as other "cloud" services from ATX.

"This solution also is unique in that it combines TCS' dynamic content with ATX's digitally optimized, voice recognition technology, enabling drivers to be less reliant on visual navigation screens and extending dynamic navigation to drivers who do not have access to an embedded or aftermarket navigation system," said Tom Metzger, senior vice president and general manager of Connected Vehicle Solutions for ATX.

"The collaboration with ATX and Hyundai for the Blue Link® program demonstrates the latest advances in connected navigation - an offering that combines the power of on-board navigation with dynamic accessibility of real-time content, including traffic and gas prices. TCS is pleased to partner with ATX and Hyundai to deliver this market-leading solution," said Steve Petilli, vice president of TCS' navigation and telematics group.

TCS, a pioneer developer of the world's first wireless location platform, offers complete end-to-end location-based services (LBS) that include branded and white-label navigation and finder applications, infrastructure, mapping, and content for leading consumer brands, content providers, voice service providers, OEMs, automotive customers and more than 60 mobile operators worldwide. TCS' LBS and telematics platforms deliver location-centric information to people on the move, offering continuous access to local directories, maps, directions, and more. TCS' applications are available on QNX, iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Symbian, J2ME, BREW, and Windows Mobile. Blue Link® is a registered trademark of Hyundai Motor America Corporation.
