Press release date: February 4, 2013

CHATSWORTH, Calif. - ATIMS is celebrating the successful installation and 'Go Live' implementation of their State-of-the-Art web-based Jail Management Software. Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) Commander Ken Gominsky is "exceedingly pleased with the newly installed ATIMS system."

The City of Santa Ana is the County Seat and largest, oldest and most densely populated City in Orange County. Experiencing an explosive population growth, the City grew from 200,350 residents 20 years ago to 338,000 in 2012 - and this census number does not adequately represent the City's undocumented alien population. With the City being essentially built out, this increase has severely impacted its density and strained the City's services. SAPD is allowed by Orange County Sheriff's Department to handle their own Pre-Book and Intake process for the County, which keeps Santa Ana's 502-bed city jail very busy. "We needed a web-based system that allows us to more effectively utilize IT resources and cut down on workflow redundancies," says Commander Gominski. "The ATIMS JMS system exceptionally fulfills that need."

During implementation, SAPD discovered that there were some additional customizations that could help make their operations more efficient and ATIMS was able to design and install those customizations quickly and at a reasonable cost. "We found their willingness to ensure the system met and exceeded our expectations refreshing in our world of IT projects," says Commander Gominski. "We're very pleased with the installation and partnership that was developed between ourselves and ATIMS." When switching over to a new software system, the implementation phase is a very volatile time for any City or County facility and ATIMS was able to handle and maintain a smooth and efficient changeover for SAPD.

What makes ATIMS Jail Management System different is that it gives any Agency the ability to configure the software to their specifications through wizard steps, specialized housing layouts and replicating any Agency's forms. ATIMS found that by designing software that allows officers to view what they're already familiar with, the conversion and learning curves are minimized thus allowing a smoother transition to a new software system. The Jail in any City or County is their greatest liability. ATIMS Jail Management Software platform protects the Inmate, Officer and County through their comprehensive, dynamic and fully featured Jail Management Software.
