ATCi Integrates Uplink System for Canal 28

New Channel Added to Spanish-Language DirecTV Service

PHOENIX, Sept. 6 / -- Antenna Technology Communications Inc., a provider of commercial satellite communications systems, today announced that it has completed its contract to design, integrate and install a complete uplink system for another Spanish-Language channel, Canal 28. Canal 28 provides regional programming from Chihuahua Mexico to Canal Sur -- one of the largest regional Latin American content providers serving the United States. ATCi provided a fully redundant, state-of-the-art uplink that will enable Mexicans in the United States from regions outside Chihuahua to watch their favorite programming from their hometowns, cities and regions of origin.

ATCi handled the scope of the project from turn-key design and integration to installation and testing. ATCi's uplink included the entire RF equipment package, which featured: antenna, amplifiers, encoders, modems and as well as custom design, integration and implementation dependent upon customer requirements.

The new channel includes regional and original programming from public broadcasters, independent producers and local access stations from regions across Chihuahua, Mexico.
