Presentations Welcome for ASTM International Workshop on Aircraft Transparency Systems



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., -A workshop on Aircraft Transparency Systems will be held Nov. 16-17, 2011, at the Marriott Waterside in Tampa, Fla. Sponsored by ASTM International Subcommittee F07.08 on Transparent Enclosures and Materials, part of Committee F07 on Aerospace and Aircraft, the workshop will be held in conjunction with the November standards development meetings of the committee.

Subcommittee F07.08 includes representatives from industry (both material suppliers and transparency companies) and the aerospace community, including OEMs, the DoD, the test community, research and academia. Presentations related to aircraft transparency systems, including: materials, coatings, testing, optics, human factors, etc., are encouraged. A written paper is not required.

Online registration opens approximately eight weeks before the workshop and closes November 9. The fee to attend the workshop for non-ASTM members is $50 USD for online registration and $75 USD for onsite registration. There is no fee for ASTM members and students with a valid ID.
