ASTM announces update to aviation fuel manual.

February 18, 2009 - ASTM International released Manual 5, Aviation Fuel Quality Control Procedures: 4th Edition, which explains procedures used by fuel handlers to assess/protect aviation fuel quality. Document includes rewritten API gravity section with information on metric density, fuel sampling techniques reflecting changes in ASTM D4306, and section on flushing new aviation fuel hoses. Also, 55 pg document offers filtration equipment and microbial contamination detection sections based on updated standards.
