ASTM International Workshop Will Provide Overview of Standards for Mold Assessment
W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., —A workshop on the State of Science and Best Practice in Mold Assessment, Sampling and Analysis will be held Oct. 24, 2013, at the Hyatt Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Fla. Sponsored by ASTM International Subcommittee D22.08 on Sampling and Analysis of Mold, part of Committee D22 on Air Quality, the workshop will be held in conjunction with the committee’s October standards development meetings.
The workshop will provide an overview of the standards available to date; exchange ideas on current practices needing standardization; discuss the current state of the science; and identify needs for the future. We are seeking input on two guides in progress, one for sampling strategy and one for post remediation verification, to help the committee to appropriately address the state of the technology and practice.
The target audience is practitioners and service providers for the indoor air quality including consultants, laboratories, equipment manufacturers and regulators. Other organizations that would have interest are IAQA, AIHA, ACAC, IICRC, EIA and NEHA.
