ASTM International Symposium on Zirconium in the Nuclear Industry

W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.-The 17th International Symposium on Zirconium in the Nuclear Industry will be held Feb. 3-7, 2013, at the Taj Krishna Hotel in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The symposium is being sponsored by ASTM International Committee B10 on Reactive and Refractory Metals and Alloys.

The purpose of the symposium is to provide a forum for exchanging new information on the fabrication, testing, development and characterization of both traditional and new zirconium-based materials in the nuclear industry. This includes materials performance during normal, transient and accident conditions as well as materials behavior during intermediate and long-term storage conditions. Of particular interest are studies that focus on identifying and understanding the mechanism of zirconium-based materials behavior.

Online registration is now open and closes January 30. The attendance fee for ASTM members, presenters and session chairs is $480 USD for online registration and $505 USD onsite. The fee for non-ASTM members is $505 USD online and $530 onsite. There is no fee for students with a valid ID.
