W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., — A symposium on "Idea to Impact: How Building Economic Standards Keep You on Track," will be held Oct. 5, 2014, at the Sheraton New Orleans, New Orleans, La.  Sponsored by ASTM International Subcommittee E06.81 on Building Economics and Committee E06 on Performance of Buildings, the symposium will be held in conjunction with the committee’s October standards development meetings.

The purpose of the symposium is to demonstrate the benefits of ASTM economic standards and how these standards can help the economic performance of engineering projects. The E06.81 standards framework is organized around four topic areas: cost data presentation and analysis, value engineering, risk management and economic evaluation.

Registration will open approximately eight weeks before the symposium. For registration and additional information, visit www.astm.org/E06Idea_Impact_10_2014.
