ASTM International Symposium on Global Testing of Extended Service Engine Coolants
W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.—A symposium on Global Testing of Extended Service Engine Coolants and Related Fluids will be held May 23 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Ind. Sponsored by ASTM International Committee D15 on Engine Coolants and Related Fluids, the symposium will be held in conjunction with the May standards development meetings of the committees.
The objective of the symposium is as follows:
• Provide a forum for the exchange of engine coolant test methods used globally to predict the service capabilities of extended life coolant technologies;
• Provide a forum for the exchange of developments in aqueous and anhydrous engine coolant fluid technologies;
• Clarify areas for focus in the development of new engine coolant test methods, especially new methods relevant to extended service technologies;
• Provide a forum for discussion of the application of engine coolant test methods to evaluate and predict the performance of Industrial heat exchange fluids; and
• Provide a forum to review needs for updates and modifications to ISO 22241 Specifications for Diesel Exhaust Fluid.
This symposium will be of interest to:
• Original manufacturers of any stationary system or mobile vehicles that use engine coolant fluids;
• Suppliers of engine coolants.
• Original manufacturers of components used in stationary system or mobile vehicles that use engine coolant fluids;
• Testing laboratories that test engine coolants, industrial heat exchange fluids and/or diesel exhaust fluid;
• Research scientists and engineers of cooling systems and components for stationary and motive cooling systems; and
• Major users of stationary or motive equipment that used fluid engine coolants.
Online registration is now open and closes April 10. The cost of attendance is $175 USD online and $200 USD on site for ASTM members, presenters and session chairs; and $250 USD online and $275 on site for non-ASTM members. There is no attendance fee for students with a valid ID.
