ASTM International Announces Symposium on Effects of Radiation on Nuclear Materials



W. CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., —The 26th Symposium on Effects of Radiation on Nuclear Materials will be held June 12-13 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Ind. Sponsored by ASTM International Committee E10 on Nuclear Technology and Applications, the workshop will be held in conjunction with the committee’s standards development meetings.



The objective of the symposium is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas on the recent research results concerning the effect of radiation on the materials used in nuclear fission and fusion applications. Special emphasis will be placed on the practical aspects of the selection of materials for use in nuclear applications and on techniques used to demonstrate their continued structural integrity during extended operational lifetimes.



Online registration is now open and closes June 5.  The attendance fee for ASTM members, presenters and session chairs is $290 USD online and $315 USD onsite. The attendance fee for non-ASTM members is $315 USD online and $340 USD onsite. There is no fee for students with a valid ID.
