ASTM - ISO Standards Comparative Guide

BETHESDA, MD (January 2, 2007) - The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) is
pleased to announce the release of its ASTM - ISO Standards Comparative Guide. This
guide provides a general comparative reference of adhesive testing standards between
ASTM International standards and related ISO (International Standards Organization)
standards. This study is focused on ICS field 83 (Rubber and Plastics), Section 83.180
(Adhesives) within the overall ISO structure.

ASC commissioned Chemsultants, Inc., to develop this initial repository of knowledge
deemed to be useful in identifying key similarities and differences between the
comparable adhesive testing methods of the two international standards bodies. It is
limited to an overall focus specific to general adhesive testing methods and does not
purport to address adhesive testing methodologies that may be inherent in the overall
standards of/for specific industries or applications such as Building Materials, Furniture, Footwear, or others.

The guide is available for $695 per copy or $2,495 for a global access license. ASC
members can purchase at a discounted price. Learn more and order the guide at
